Allianz Insurance

Credit Analyst for all UK Divisions: currently on secondment at Guilford (2011-Present):
Responsible for: ensuring effective procedures were in place and monitoring the credit worthiness of brokers for all divisions; reviewing internal and external information, carrying out reviews of all brokers and maintaining the Risk Register; establishing procedures for assessing and monitoring clients’ credit worthiness and
agreed installments and helped manage projects that business goals are met and compliance.
Championing the Best Practice process I developed in Leeds (below) and heading up a task force that is reviewing it for credit control teams across the business and embedding it within their culture.
- This is now shared across all divisions so we now have the cross divisional call that deal with all 3 main areas of the business and include the top 50 brokers that are causing the board concern as well as parameters being wide enough so we can discuss brokers that are causing the offices concern.
Restructured the Liquidation and Administration’s “Proof of Debt” process that and solved issues such as of duplication and unregistered claims after reviewing and writing a best practice and presenting recommendations to management.
- This saved significant losses in revenue.
- This also allows the business to register as a preferred / secured creditor and gain more funds back from the administrator, currently average is 18 pence in the pound.
- Installment figures for 2010 came in below target by 0.02% value of £2,800 based on reducing exposure by over £7K at the start of the year to nearly £4K by December.
- Maintained arrears at a monthly average of nearly £6K. 2011 saw a continued fall in exposure due to the run off Lloyds TSB accounts. 2011 came in on target at 0.12% target with a monthly average of nearly £5K which was down on the previous year.
